If you are Nigerian, you already know how powerful that sentence can be.

Your friend says, “Don't worry, this guy helped my brother travel.”

You ask one question. They give you a phone number. You call the agent. Before you know it, you're sending your passport, certificates and bank documents on WhatsApp.

Because apparently, “my guy knows him” is now a verification method.

Pressures you to pay immediately
